Libby recalls visiting the workshops with their three children so they could see where Alan worked. While she met the staff the children played with the pens and the whiteboard in the office, whilst the baby crawled on the carpet. When it came time for them to leave she discovered the baby was completely black – his hands, face, onesie and feet! The carpet in the office was covered in the soot and grease from the workshops below.
